Limited Office Openings to the Public with Social Distancing Mandates
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, the Automated Health Systems (AHS) Child Care and Development Fund Voucher and On My Way Pre-K Eligibility Offices are currently only open for In Person Appointments in the following Counties:
The following offices are not open to the public, however you may still schedule a virtual appointment by phone:
We encourage families to submit all your childcare documentation electronically using our website prior to a phone or in person interview. And, to schedule these appointments also though our website, or by calling 855-533-7342.
Please note: The online appointment scheduling system will show in person and virtual appointments available for scheduling. When selecting in person appointments the website will inform the client of the following:
- Only the applicant and co-applicant attend an appointment for social distancing
- Masks must be worn to enter the offices and during the appointment
- Temperature will be taken upon office entry and recorded
- Notification that if they are not feeling well, appointments should be rescheduled
This information is also provided in the reminder text when the client checks in for their appointment.
If clients do not comply with the guidelines, or they are unwell upon arrival, they will be asked to reschedule the appointment.
PLEASE NOTE: AHS observes all Indiana State Holidays, and as such will not be open during these state holidays.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: Due to some of the State Holidays falling on the First Saturday of the month, 2 of these first Saturdays will be postponed until the Second Saturday of that month.
Moving First Saturday of July from the 3rd to the 10th (Due to the July 4th Weekend) Moving First Saturday of September from the 4th to the 11th (Due to the Labor Day Weekend)
You should ONLY schedule an appointment with us if you:
- have a referral that was sent to AHS by a referring agency such as the DFR’s Impact Office, DCS office, or a Contract Center, or
- need to reauthorize your existing childcare services that are expiring within 30 days, or
- have received an Open Enrollment Letter that funds are available for your child(ren), or
- have received a Congratulations Letter indicating that your child(ren) have been granted an On My Way PreK Grant.
Before scheduling an appointment as a new applicant, you MUST:
- have completed and submitted a pre-application, and
- have received your Open Enrollment letter (CCDF Child Care Assistance only), or
- have received your Congratulations Letter (On My Way Pre-K only).
You DO NOT need to schedule an appointment if:
- need to submit documentation - you can submit documents electronically through this website, mail or drop off your documents at one of our local offices, or send your documents via fax at 1-855-631-0120. Please be sure to include information to help us identify you such as your full name, case number, phone number, date of birth, etc.
- have general questions - you can contact us through this website or call us at 1-855-533-7342.
Steps to apply for CCDF Childcare Assistance are:
- Complete an application online at Early Ed Connect
- Every 90 days the application must be updated per a reminder letter, or you will be removed from the waiting list.
- While on the waitlist, it is important to update your contact information - any changes to your family size, or the need to apply for childcare for other children that you did not apply for on your original Pre-Application.
- Once you receive an Open Enrollment Letter, you must schedule an appointment either via phone or online within 5 days of receipt of the letter.
